Find a named shape among six pictured shapes, then write its position in the row. The shapes are circle, square, triangle, wide rectangle, pentagon and hexagon.

Trace an edge with a finger and talk about corners before choosing. There are three shape searches on each activity page. Adults can introduce more advanced shape relationships when the child is ready.

Are these shape tracing sheets?

The main task is finding a named shape and recording its position. These are shape-identification activities, not dotted-line tracing or cut-and-paste pages.
